No! All of our challenges will allow you to complete them over a series of days, weeks, or months.

When you’re participating in one of our World Challenges that have longer distances it’s a great idea if you submit your evidence once a month (although you’re free to just do it once at the end of the challenge if you’d prefer). This way it can cut down on the risk of there being any submission errors and really does help us manage to validate the submitted evidence.

Don’t forget, you can use one of our challenge trackers as well to give you (and us) a summary of the distances you complete each week/month.

The challenges are suitable for all ages, although some distances would probably be more suitable than others.

When you’re ordering a challenge for your child, if you’d rather they didn’t receive access details to our challenge community please tick the “Do not send community details” checkbox. This way we’ll make sure that the details aren’t sent to the registered email address to ensure that your child cannot access the community network.

While there aren’t any restrictions on doing this, and you’re free to do it if you’d like to, we like to think that completing a challenge and getting your medal acts as a motivation to keep going and finish. If you use the same evidence to complete two challenges does that keep up the motivation to keep moving?

However, we’re not going to cross-check evidence submitted for different challenges, so you’ll never be penalised or queried for using the same evidence more than once.

A good example of where you’d definitely want to use the same evidence for different challenges would be when you’re participating in one of our longer World Challenges while also completing a City Challenge. They’re both acting as motivation to keep moving and the City Challenge will definitely be the perfect motivation to count towards your longer World Challenge

Medals are sent out once we’ve received your evidence and it’s been verified. Verification of evidence usually takes around 72 hours (Monday to Friday), and then your medal is sent via recorded delivery. You’ll receive a shipping email when your medal is ready to be sent.

Any evidence submitted Thursday (after 11 am), Friday, Saturday, or Sunday will be verified and despatched the following week.

Evidence Submission Deadlines City Challenges: These are our month-long challenges running from the first day of the month to the final day of the month. Evidence must be submitted by the 6th day of the month following the end of the City Challenge. If there’s a problem and it’s not possible for you to submit your evidence, or you haven’t managed to complete the distance you chose, please get in touch with us as soon as possible, up to the 6th day of the month following the end of the City Challenge.

World Challenges: These are our year-long challenges running for up to one year from your challenge purchase date. Evidence must be fully submitted at the latest by 20 days from the end of the year after the purchase date. If there’s a problem and it’s not possible for you to submit your evidence, or you haven’t managed to complete the distance you chose, please get in touch with us as soon as possible, up to the 20th day of the month following the end of the World Challenge.

We generally send out our medals three times each week.

Medals are sent as a large letter recorded delivery. Please note that outside of European Countries this is not a tracked service.

Vary rarely medals can go missing in the post and not arrive with you, which is awful! Unfortunately, time constraints are placed on the postal service that we have to comply with before we can provide replacements for you.

European countries: a replacement can only be considered when the medal package has been missing for over 28 days.

UK: a replacement can only be considered when the medal package has been missing for over 28 days.

South America, the Middle East, and parts of Asia: a replacement can only be considered when the medal package has been missing for 2 months.

The US, Canada, and the rest of the world: a replacement can only be considered when the medal package has been missing for over 35 days.

If there’s a problem and it’s not possible for you to submit your evidence, or you haven’t managed to complete the distance you chose, please get in touch with us as soon as possible, up to the 6th day of the month following the end of the City Challenge, or up to the 20th day of the month following the end of the World Challenge.

Definitely not. For our World Challenges, the medal will be sent out to you after the evidence has been validated to show that it covers the required distance. For our City Challenges, the medal will only be sent out to you at the end of the month that the challenge is valid for. E.g. you’ve entered a City Challenge for January and finished your chosen distance by the 14th of January and submitted your evidence immediately.

If this has happened we’re so sorry! Occasionally, errors are made and in the organised chaos here at Virtual World Challenges, we’ll pick the wrong item. If this has happened, we can only apologise and ask you to raise a support ticket making sure to include your order ID so that we can get the correct medal sent out to you as soon as possible.
